Hunter's stew

Deer or Elk steak
potatoes peeled and cubed
onion
celery
carrots
green beans
corn
2 cans of stewed tomatoes
salt
pepper
basil
minced garlic
minced dried onion



Throw steak into crock pot and top with cubed potatoes, celery, carrots, and onions.
Add stewed tomatoes and about a cup of water.
When steak seems cooked and potatoes softened add canned corn, and canned green beans.
season to taste using salt, pepper, basil, minced garlic, dried onion

*If you add the canned vegetables too early the canned vegetables get too mushy. It is best to add them when the stew is almost ready to be served.
* If you use fresh green beans add with other raw vegetables
* I mainly use frozen vegetable blends
* I prefer to take the meat out once it is cooked and run it minimally through the food processor

* Stew is a great way to use up any vegetables you have that need to be used up.
